Resize a stamp: the steps

  1. Choose the stamp image from your device. The preview starts with the proportions of the source.
  2. Set the width and height in pixels. Keep their original ratio if you want to avoid stretching; the two values can be changed independently.
  3. Inspect the lettering in the preview, then download the resized PNG.

Making a small bitmap larger does not recover detail. If you have an SVG master, convert that to a new PNG instead. Output dimensions are limited to 4096 pixels on either side.

Questions about this tool

Why does a larger PNG still look soft?

Resizing adds pixels to the existing image; it cannot recover detail that was not in the source. Use the largest clean original you have. If an SVG master is available, make a new PNG from that instead of enlarging a small copy.

Why did the stamp change shape?

Width and height can be changed independently. Keep the same ratio as the source to preserve its shape: for a 600 by 400 image, 300 by 200 keeps the proportions. Changing only one dimension stretches or compresses the image.

Do pixel dimensions set the printed size?

Pixels describe the image, while the document or print settings determine how large it appears on paper. Place a test copy at the intended dimensions in the destination application. For a manufactured stamp, confirm the physical size with the maker.

How this tool handles your file

Local processing

The image is processed with browser canvas APIs in this tab. If you need to build the artwork first, start in the online stamp maker.

PNG output

The result downloads as a PNG with transparency preserved when the operation supports it.
