Crop a stamp image: the steps
- Choose the image with unwanted empty space around the stamp.
- The tool detects visible pixels and trims transparent or near-white edges, leaving a small automatic margin.
- Check that the outer border and small details remain, then download the cropped PNG.
Dark marks near the edge count as visible content and may prevent a tight crop. This tool does not offer a manual crop box. Background extraction can help when a scan has light paper around the impression.
Extract stamp inkQuestions about this tool
Why did the crop leave a large margin?
The tool looks for visible content, so a stray dark pixel, paper shadow or mark near an edge can extend the detected bounds. It also leaves a small automatic margin. Inspect the source edges and remove the light background first when that is the cause.
Can I choose a crop box myself?
This page performs an automatic trim around visible content; it does not provide a draggable crop box. Check the preview before using the result, especially for very pale ink. Keep the original if you need a different crop in another image editor.
Does cropping make the stamp sharper?
Cropping removes surrounding canvas space and keeps the remaining image pixels. It does not recreate detail inside the stamp. The result may be easier to position on a page, but you still need a sufficiently clear source for the size at which it will be displayed.
How this tool handles your file
Local processing
The image is processed with browser canvas APIs in this tab. If you need to build the artwork first, start in the online stamp maker.
PNG output
The result downloads as a PNG with transparency preserved when the operation supports it.
