Coffee Shop Stamp Maker
Design the stamps a café uses all day: a logo for cup sleeves and bean bags, a roast-date stamp, a tiny mark for the loyalty card and a numbered block for gift cards.

A coffee shop stamps more paper than most customers notice. The logo goes on kraft cup sleeves, on plain cups when the printed stock runs out and on the bags of beans stacked beside the till. Every bag of beans also gets a roast date, every regular gets a small mark in one box of the loyalty card, and gift cards get a value and serial number on the back. Cafés that supply beans to offices or restaurants add a PAID or DELIVERED mark to their wholesale invoices and delivery notes.
This coffee shop stamp maker loads a round ring design in the editor above, the kind that reads clearly on a sleeve. Type the café name into the outer ring, put a short wordmark in the centre and set the diameter to fit the flat panel of the sleeve. The same online stamp maker builds the small working stamps as well: an oval roast-date stamp for bean bags, a loyalty mark sized to the boxes on your card, or a gift card block with lines for the value and number.
Choose your surfaces with care. Sleeves and kraft bags take ink easily, but paper cups are coated, so ordinary stamp ink can smear, and the rim touches the customer’s lips. Stamp a cup only on its outer wall, well below the rim, with an ink suited to coated paper. Once you need several thousand cups a month, printed cups are the cleaner choice. Stamps a coffee shop keeps by the till
Some are for branding, others for keeping track of beans, cards and money, and a busy café uses both kinds every hour.
Cup sleeve logo
LITTLE ORBIT COFFEE · Espresso Bar · 12 Elm Street
Seen at every handover. Plain kraft sleeves cost less than printed ones and take a stamp well, provided the design fits between the folds.
Roast date stamp
ROASTED ON 23 OCT 2026
Buyers of whole beans look for this line first. A stamp with an adjustable date band saves writing it by hand on every bag of a batch.
Bean bag details
BLEND ______ · ORIGIN ______ · ROAST light / medium / dark · 250 g
Lets you label small batches on plain bags without ordering a new printed label for every coffee. Circle the roast level by hand.
Loyalty card mark
A 10 mm coffee-bean icon or the café initials
One impression per drink on a card where the tenth drink is free. It must fit inside the printed box with a little space to spare.
Gift card block
GIFT CARD · Value ______ · No. ______ · Issued ______
Stamped on the back of blank cards and filled in at the till. Write each number in a log so the card can be checked when it is spent.
Wholesale invoice stamp
PAID · Invoice No. ______ · Date ______ · Thank you
For offices, restaurants and shops that buy beans on account. A delivery version with a line for the number of bags and a signature works on delivery notes.

How to make a coffee shop stamp
- 1
Measure the sleeve and the card
Lay a sleeve flat and measure the panel between the folds, then measure one box on the loyalty card. Gather the logo, the café name as you want it spelled and the fields you fill in for each roast.
- 2
Choose one layout per surface
Use a round ring for sleeves and bean bags, an oval for the roast date and a tiny icon for the loyalty card. Set the plate size first, so every edit is judged against the space you really have.
- 3
Thicken and shorten
Ribbed sleeves break thin lines into dashes. Make strokes heavier, drop the tagline if the ring feels crowded, and keep the café name as the largest text on the stamp.
- 4
Proof on a sleeve, a bag and a card
Print the proof at 100% and place it on each item you plan to stamp. When the smallest text still reads, export the files and save the design so seasonal versions start from the same base.
Sizes, inks and files for a café
- Size
- A round stamp of 30–40 mm usually fits the flat panel of a sleeve, and 40–50 mm suits a 250 g bean bag. A roast-date oval works at about 45 × 18 mm. Make loyalty marks about 2 mm smaller than the box they go in.
- Ink colour
- Black, dark brown and deep green look natural on kraft. On white cups and bags your brand colour works, as long as it is dark enough to read. Pale colours disappear on brown paper.
- Text size
- Keep capitals at 2 mm or taller on sleeves and bags, and roast-date digits at about 3 mm, because a smudged date makes the whole bag look old.
- Files
- Use the PNG on menu boards, the café website and gift card artwork you print digitally. Rubber stamp vendors and sleeve printers usually want SVG or PDF. The PNG and SVG stamp downloads are compared on the pricing page.
- Cups and sleeves
- Stamp only the outside of cups and sleeves, keep the design away from the rim and let it dry before the drink goes in. Ask your ink supplier whether an ink is suitable for the outer surface of food packaging.
Coffee shop stamp questions
How many boxes should a coffee loyalty card have?
Ten is the familiar pattern, with the tenth drink free, and customers understand it at a glance. Some cafés use eight boxes for pricier drinks. Starting a new card with the first box already stamped makes people more likely to finish it. Whatever the number, print the rule on the card so staff do not have to explain it.
What should I stamp on a bag of coffee beans?
At least the roast date, the coffee or blend name and the weight. Origin, process and roast level help customers choose again. If you sell packed beans, your local labelling rules may ask for more, such as the business name and address or a best-before date, so check those before you design the stamp.
How do I stamp a roast date that changes every day?
Order the stamp with an adjustable date band, so the frame and text stay fixed while you turn the date wheels before each batch. Alternatively, design the stamp with a blank line and write the date by hand. For printed labels, export a new file for each roast instead of reusing an old one.
How do I keep track of gift cards stamped by hand?
Give every card a number, write it in a simple log with the value and date, and initial the card at the till. When the card comes back, cross it off. Check your local rules on gift card expiry before adding a valid-until line, because several countries set a minimum validity.
Can one stamp work for both sleeves and bean bags?
Sometimes, if the design reads at about 38 mm, a size that fits most sleeves and still looks right on a small bag. Larger bags often need a bigger version. Save the design once and export it at two sizes, then order two stamps from the same artwork so the branding stays consistent.
