Restaurant Stamp Maker
Make the stamps a restaurant goes through every week: a logo for takeaway bags and pizza boxes, a small loyalty-card mark, RESERVED table cards, PAID on bills and a goods-in stamp for supplier deliveries.

Most restaurant stamps never reach a filing cabinet. They land on brown kraft bags at the pass, on pizza box lids, on the loyalty cards regulars carry in their wallets and on the tent cards that hold a table for the eight o’clock booking. Behind the scenes the same ink pad marks catering invoices as paid, supplier delivery notes as received and the prep labels on containers in the walk-in. Each job has its own surface and size, so one stamp rarely covers them all.
This restaurant stamp maker opens a round logo layout in the editor above. Swap the sample emblem for your own logo, put the restaurant name on the top arc and a phone number or short ordering line along the bottom, then set the diameter to suit the bags you actually buy. The same online stamp maker handles the plainer working stamps too: a one-word RESERVED bar, a dated PAID circle for bills, or a goods-in block with lines for the date and the person who checked the delivery.
Decide early which jobs need a stamp at all. A hand stamp suits short runs and small kitchens, where a few hundred bags a week are marked by whoever is packing. Once you order thousands of boxes a month, printed packaging is usually cleaner and faster, and the stamp moves to the jobs a printer cannot do: dates, initials and loyalty marks. For invoices and letters, the business stamp templates offer more office layouts.
Where a restaurant reaches for a stamp
Front of house, the kitchen and the office each keep their own, and most places settle on four or five.
Takeaway bag and box logo
BELLA CUCINA · Wood-fired Kitchen · Order (555) 014-2290
For kraft bags, pizza box lids and napkin bands. A round design of 40–50 mm is quick to place and stays visible when the top of the bag is folded over.
Menu and flyer address stamp
Marlow’s Kitchen · 48 Harbor Street, Portland · Open Tue–Sun
Turns plain menus, delivery flyers and gift envelopes into branded pieces. Leave exact hours off if they change with the season.
Loyalty card mark
A 12 mm monogram, for example MK inside a fork-and-knife ring
One mark per visit on a card that reads “Ten visits, the tenth main is on us”. A small mark of your own is harder to fake than a large generic star.
RESERVED table card
RESERVED · Name ______ · Time ______
Stamped on folded tent cards so staff can write the guest’s name and booking time. Bold capitals read from across the dining room.
PAID bill and invoice stamp
PAID · 23 OCT 2026 · With thanks
For catering invoices, event deposits and account customers who settle by transfer. The date shows when payment arrived, which helps whoever reconciles the month.
Goods-in delivery stamp
RECEIVED · Date ______ · Checked by ______ · Temp ______ °C
Marks supplier delivery notes once the order is counted. If your food-safety plan records chilled delivery temperatures, a printed field keeps that check from being skipped.
Kitchen prep label
PREP ______ · USE BY ______ · INITIALS ______
Stamped on masking tape or blank labels for containers in the fridge. How long each item keeps comes from your local food-safety rules, not from the stamp.
Restaurant layouts to start from
Pick one and it loads into the editor at the top of the page. The names, numbers and towns in each layout are samples, so replace them with your restaurant’s own details before you proof anything.

How to make a restaurant stamp
- 1
List the surfaces first
Note where the stamp will land: kraft bags, white boxes, card stock, invoices or masking tape. Gather the largest logo file you have, the exact spelling of the name and the contact line you want customers to see.
- 2
Match the size to the job
Open the layout closest to the job and set the plate size before you move any text. A bag stamp, a table-card bar and a loyalty mark need very different dimensions, so make each one separately.
- 3
Cut words before shrinking letters
Edit each text layer, then remove words until the rest fits at a readable size. On a takeaway bag, the name and one contact line are enough; add a slogan and a web address and the whole stamp turns grey.
- 4
Test on the real material
Print the proof at 100% and hold it against an actual bag, card and invoice. If it reads at arm’s length, export the files and save the editable design, so a new phone number or branch is a quick change.
Size, ink and print details
- Size
- Round 38–50 mm for bags and boxes, about 45 × 15 mm for RESERVED cards, 40–60 mm wide for delivery notes and invoices, and 10–15 mm for loyalty card boxes. Measure one box on your card before choosing.
- Ink colour
- Black or a dark brand colour reads best on brown kraft. Red is a common choice for PAID because it stands out against printed invoice text. White or metallic ink on black bags needs a pigment ink made for coated paper.
- Text size
- Kraft paper and corrugated board soak up ink and fill in fine detail. Keep capitals at about 2.5 mm or taller, avoid hairline script and give borders some weight so they do not break up.
- Files
- Use the PNG on menus, social posts and order confirmations, where its transparent background sits cleanly on any colour. A rubber stamp vendor or packaging printer will usually ask for SVG or PDF. The PNG and SVG stamp downloads are compared on the pricing page.
- Bags and boxes
- These stamps are for paper and packaging. Stamp bags and boxes flat, on the outer face, before they are folded or filled, and give the ink a minute to dry. Glossy or coated boxes may need a faster-drying ink.
Restaurant stamp questions
What should a takeaway bag stamp say?
The restaurant name and one way to order again: a phone number, a short web address or a social handle. A small logo helps drivers and customers spot the bag on a crowded delivery shelf. Leave out prices, opening hours and seasonal offers, because they date quickly and a rubber stamp cannot be updated the way a menu can.
How do I stop people copying my loyalty card stamp?
Choose a mark that cannot be bought off the shelf, such as your own monogram or a detail from your logo, rather than a generic star or heart. Some restaurants also use an unusual ink colour, add initials beside each mark, or change the design once a year and honour old cards until a set date. Keep the stamp behind the counter.
Self-inking or wooden stamp for a busy counter?
A self-inking stamp re-inks itself after every impression, so it suits loyalty cards and RESERVED cards stamped dozens of times a shift, and it keeps ink off the counter. A wood-mounted stamp with a separate pad suits large bag logos, rough kraft that needs a heavier load of ink, and switching ink colours. Many restaurants keep one of each.
Do I need a separate stamp for each branch?
Only for the details that differ. Many groups keep one logo stamp for every location and give each branch a small address or phone stamp of its own. If you save the design to your library, you can reopen it, change the street and number, and export a version for the new site without starting again.
Can I turn my existing logo into a stamp?
Usually, if the logo is simple. Upload it as an image layer and check it at the real stamp size, because thin lines, gradients and photographs tend to blur or vanish in ink. A one-colour version with solid shapes works best. Remember that an uploaded bitmap stays a bitmap inside an SVG export, so start from the sharpest file you have.
